LUCKY fan Matthew McDonough has won the chance to lead out Blackburn Rovers on Saturday as an official mascot.
The 22-year-old, from Baxenden, will be representing the Prostate Cancer UK charity, to promote awareness about the disease.
He will also get a behind the scenes tour of Ewood Park before the team’s Championship match against Charlton.
He said: “As a life-long supporter I can’t wait for Saturday.
“I’m really proud that Blackburn Rovers are standing up for men everywhere by joining the fight against this terrible disease and I hope that the fans will take notice and find out more about prostate cancer.”
There will also be volunteers collecting outside turnstiles, as well as adverts and features appearing on the official club website and matchday programme.
Mark Bishop, director of fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK, added: “We urgently need to raise awareness of the disease which kills one man every hour and get this message across to Rovers’ fans.”
