A BAND is aiming to storm up the rock charts for the first time with its new single to celebrate its 10th anniversary next month.

Grunge rockers Another Dead Hero is set to release the track 'Greed' and are calling on fans to make their dream a reality.

The Earby, Barnoldswick and Burnley based band, who have all juggled full-time jobs to stay together, said that it would be a ‘great milestone achievement’.

The five piece formed after jamming sessions as teenagers between guitarist Dan Crawshaw, bass player Craig Robertson, both 26, and former member Mick Cenayko.

After gaining confidence the band hit the touring circuit playing regularly at the Sanctuary Rock Bar and at gigs as far away as Cornwall and Scotland. They also released four albums.

Their latest ‘Dystopia’ was released this earlier this year by current line-up including lead singer Josh Baldwin, 24, drummer Gary Connor, 32, and guiatarist Josh Beckwith, 21.

Dan, who lives on Wentcliffe Drive, Earby, and works as a farm labourer, said: "We just love playing together and have had a fantastic time together so far.

“We hope that we stay together well into the future and thought that getting into the charts would be a great milestone achievement to help us celebrate our 10th year.

“The most important thing to us is seeing people entertained when we are on stage but fortunately our music also sells well.

“For our next release we are asking people to buy the song at the same time so that we can get on the rock and metal singles chart.

“We want to just take each month at a time but it would be great to get touring again next year with the new album.

“Hopefully the next ten years will be even better than the last.”

'Greed' can be bought either via itunes or Amazon MP3 store in between November 11 and 16 or visit www.anotherdeadhero.com or www.facebook.com/adhrocks.
