Five more are charged following Accrington drug raids

A FURTHER five people have been charged following Wednesday’s second wave of drugs raids in Accrington.
Ibran Khan, 23, of Tremellen Street, Accrington, has been charged with four offences of supplying class A drugs, and three offences of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (heroin). He appeared before Blackburn magistrates yesterday.
John Lavery, 36, of Woodside Road, Alison Walker, 47, of Beech Street, both Accrington, and Ian McDonald, 45, of Milton Close, Great Harwood, have all been charged with supplying class A drugs, and have been bailed.
A 16-year-old youth from Accrington has been charged with three offences of supplying class A drugs, and has been bailed.
These extra charges take the total number of people charged to 13, including eight charged on Wednesday, after raids on Tuesday, as part of Operation Magna, an investigation into the supply of drugs in the Accrington area.
