Northwest Euro MP says 24 hour drinking laws have increased drunken violence

NORTH-WEST Euro-MP Paul Nuttall has supported Britain’s top cops over their claim that the 24 hour drinking laws have proved a disaster.
Last week Association of Chief Police Officers’ spokesman Adrian Lee said: “The cafe culture was an entirely legitimate experiment but I don’t think it has worked.
“The impact on the streets of our towns now at three and six o’clock in the morning is very significant and I don’t think that is correct and we need to change that.”
UKIP deputy leader Mr Nuttall said: “This was never going to work in Britain and I said from the start that this should not go ahead. It has led to an increase in drunken violence on our streets and placed an enormous strain on police forces.
“As well as totally inebriated youths causing noise and nuisance on our streets there are also incidents of violence, sometimes with fatal results. The government must face the problems caused by round-the-clock drinking laws as a matter of urgency.”
