12:44pm Tuesday 24th September 2013 in News
THE Last Night of the Chatburn Proms has been hailed a ‘resounding success’.
Crawshawbooth singer Grace O’Malley performed for the audience at Chatburn’s Christ Church, along with Besses o’ th’ Barn Band.
The evening was organised as part of the church’s 175 years celebrations.
Event organiser Clive Greenwood said: “Thankyou to everyone who came along and supported the event.
“Thanks also go to the team of church members who did a great job with the cleaning, catering and tickets.
“It is great seeing so many people having such a good time, while contributing to the worthwhile cause of the church development.
“Producing an event is helped when you have such talented artists.
“I saw potential in bringing together a magical musical marriage of Besses o’ th’ Barn Band and Grace, which turned out to be a startling joint performance.
“I plan to have more unique partnering of talented artists such as this in the future.”
