East Lancashire people suffer from 'information overload' when it comes to healthy choices

PEOPLE in East Lancashire are suffering from ‘information overload’ when it comes to making healthy lifestyle choices, a new survey has revealed.
The research, which was carried out by the Beardwood and Gisburne Park private hospitals, showed that 82 per cent of people in the North West felt that while there was much health advice out there, that it was confusing to know what to follow.
The BMI hospitals have launched a new campaign and website, called the Big Health Pledge, which aims to provide some clarity and simple steps for people to follow to become more healthy.
The website also aims to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease, which affects a higher proportion of people in Blackburn, Hyndburn and Burnley than in most other areas in the country.
