2:57pm Wednesday 18th September 2013 in News
THE Live Well, Eat Well project in Pendle is holding an open day this Sunday.
The event, at Hodge House Allotments, Nelson, between 11am and 2pm. is an ideal opportunity to tour the Reedyford Road site and see what takes place there, as well as pick up some helpful hints on how to grow your own produce.
It gives people a chance to grow their own and develop skills such as nurturing, caring, concentration and co-operation in a fun, friendly and healthy environment.
Joanne Dootson, project co-ordinator, said: “We hold our annual open day so people can come along and have a good look at the site.
“This is a community allotment for the people of Pendle.
“Our neighbours at Garden Able will also be open for visitors to look around their gardens and see the display of crafts from their community learning project.
During the open day there will be a plant and produce sale plus refreshments.
