Clitheroe Army Cadets seeks new recruits

THE Clitheroe detachment of the Army Cadet Force is on the lookout for new recruits.
Army Cadets is open to boys and girls aged 12 to 18 and youngsters will be able to take part in activities such as rock climbing, mountain biking, archery and abseiling.
Cadets can now also gain BTec qualifications along with learning discipline, respect, taking part in community events and being introduced to other aspects of military life.
The Clitheroe Army Cadet Force also takes part in sporting competitions against other troops on regional and national levels.
There are 46,000 cadets in almost 1,700 detachments all over the country.
The detachment has recently moved from its based at Moorland School in Ribblesdale Avenue, Clitheroe to Waddow Hall.
The group meets on Mondays and Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm at Waddow Hall.
