A cricket club was bowled over after receiving £300 for new shirts.
Chatburn Cricket Club was given the money by Townson Bros in Clitheroe for its junior section.
The club, which was formed in 1923, trains at the ground just off Sawley Road and now consists of four teams including one junior team with youngsters aged under 14.
The donation was made as part of Townson Bros’ sporting bursary scheme which aims to support sports groups across Clitheroe.
Club chairman Joe Woodworth said: “We are incredibly grateful to Townson Bros for its donation and all the junior players cannot wait to play upcoming matches in their new shirts.
“Our club is renowned for its dedication and passion for cricket, so it’s great to be recognised by a local business.”
Jonathan Best, regional manager at Townson Bros, said: “Chatburn Cricket Club is a real asset to the local area, helping encourage residents to get involved in both sport and their community.”
