Teen biker breaks leg in Haslingden crash

A TEENAGE motorcyclist suffered a fractured leg after a collision in Haslingden yesterday.
Emergency services were called to Broadway at about 2.50pm, following reports that a motorcyclist had come off his bike following a collision with a car.
Sarah Morley, a spokesman for the North West Ambulance Service, said the 17-year-old biker was given pain relief at the scene and taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment for a fractured leg.
Firefighters from Rawtenstall Fire Station made the scene safe and the female driver of the car was treated at the road side for shock.
