HOLIDAY time is almost over for Barnoldswick beach-goers this week as the popular summer attraction closes with a beach party on Saturday.
The fourth annual Barnoldswick Beach is heading for a record number of visitors, with over 10,000 visits this year to the sands on Barnoldswick’s Town Square.
The attraction, which features two sand pits, donkey rides, a surfing simulator, a beach disco and a lifeboat display Beach organiser Lindsay Gaskell said: “For our final day, we’ve got extra donkeys and an all day beach party.
“We’ve had fantastic support from visitors both new and old with people coming from a wide circle and even abroad to try out our seasonal sands.
“There’s still time to sample the sand on the square and see why people think this is the best urban beach in Britain.”
Barnoldswick Beach is open daily from 10am to 4pm until Saturday.
