Rawtenstall Market's family fun day to hold 'wormery' lessons
1:21pm Wednesday 21st August 2013 in News
A DEMONSTRATION on how to set up, and keep, a wormery is just one of the attractions at Rawtenstall Market’s family fun day next week.
Incredible Edible Rossendale’s Ron Crisp will be providing the show, alongside North Wales Bird Trust, which will be showing its barn owls at the event, on Thursday, August 29, from 10am to 3pm.
A spokeswoman for the event said: “We will have entertainment and attractions for all the family.
“The market, in Newchurch Road, is hosting the great event to encourage families to visit and enjoy the excellent attractions, as well as visiting the market’s fantastic stalls.”
There will be children’s fairground rides, and children will be able to have their face painted by Dawn, from Rossendale Body Art. Mike Keech, a local magician, will be entertaining, and there will be a craft workshop where children can get involved in making bunting to decorate the market.
Cronkshaw Fold Farm will have an activity stall, and will be taking along some feathered friends.
