THE North West Air Ambulance is calling for volunteers to help raise funds for their service at supermarkets.

They are asking people to spare two hours to help raise awareness of their work and collect donations from store customers until October.

The new recruits will act as an ambassador for the charity on the day and will be supported by North West Air Ambulance Charity staff.

The charity is reliant on donations, and this year they need to raise more than £4.3million to keep their helicopters operational.
