A CORONER intends to go ahead with the inquest of a Ribble Valley man who died in an avalanche in Scotland despite still waiting for cooperation from authorities there.
Michael Singleton said he had sent a final e-mail regarding the death of PHD student Christopher Bell to the procurator fiscal seeking further information, but had received no news.
Mr Bell was one of four people who died in January in a snow slip on 3,773ft Bidean nam Bian, in Glencoe.
The inquest was adjourned until October 15.
Mr Singleton said the hearing would go ahead then regardless of whether the authorities had been in touch.
