Ram raid gang flee Haslingden company empty-handed
7:00pm Friday 16th August 2013 in News
WOULD-BE robbers rammed the shutter doors of a business before searching it for valuables.
The incident happened at kitchen equipment supplier and manufacturer Bridge Catering Fabrications, in Haslingden.
A white Ford Transit van was used to force open the doors before two men wearing high visibility jackets entered the Vale Street premises.
The business was shut at the time, but a member of staff had returned to work and disturbed the intruders before calling police.
The men left empty-handed.
Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the attack, which happened at around 6.30pm on July 30.
They are appealing for anybody who may have information or who may know the man pictured to get in touch with them. PC Trevor Syrett said: “It is believed that these two men had visited the premises earlier in the day enquiring about scrap metal and so I would appeal to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity not just around the time of the offence but in the hours and days leading up to it to get in touch.”
Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 and quoting log number LC-20130730-1244 Witnesses can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or on-line at www.crimestoppers.co.uk
