THE famous Thwaites shire horses enjoyed a pint of Wainwright beer as they relaxed at the Great British Beer Festival.

The Blackburn brewery has been well represented at the country’s biggest real ale celebration, with seven ales also showcased for beer enthusiasts from across Britain to sample.

The Penny Street firm’s Big Ben, 13 Guns, Lancaster Bomber, Little Bewdy, Nutty Black, Original and Wainwright ales were all available at the festival at London’s Olympia.

The event comes to an end tomorrow, when an expected 55,000 real ale enthusiasts will have passed through the doors to sample 800 different beers.
