Ribble Valley housing strategy to be examined by inspectorate
3:25pm Thursday 15th August 2013 in News
THE housing strategy, which is being drawn up by Ribble Valley Borough Council, is set to be examined by the government by at least the end of the month.
The government inspector who will be examining the core strategy has said that the process must start by September 1.
The first draft of the plan, which gives the council more say over the number of properties that can be built in the borough until 2028, was rejected by a government inspector over concerns with the evidence that was submitted with it.
The deadline announcement comes after a six-week consultation started on Monday and is set to run until Friday September 20.
Among the documents that will be examined by the government inspector are a leisure survey, an employment land review, a service centre health check report and a retail survey.
