Mums save money on school uniforms in Blackburn shop
12:23pm Thursday 15th August 2013 in News
MORE than 3,000 customers have used an affordable school uniform supplier since it opened last month.
Mum’s the Word has kitted out thousands of children from an outlet in Blackburn’s The Mall shopping centre.
Since it opened on July 20, customers have been flocking in to buy, donate or swap recycled school uniforms, activity wear, shoes, bags coats and swimwear.
Co-founders, Caroline Fotios and Rachel Rhodes have been overwhelmed with the reception they have received from shoppers.
Rachel said: “Our workload has literally tripled overnight.
“We have received around 600kg of clothing donations here in The Mall."
