Great Harwood guitarist from Los Bravos to sign books

A POPULAR Great Harwood guitarist is set to visit the town to sign copies of his new book.
David ‘Wammy’ Walmsley, who played with 1960s band Los Bravos and with Jon Anderson from Yes will travel from his home in Spain to Pam’s Bookend at Queen Street in Great Harwood on Saturday.
He will sign copies of his new autobiography, Delivering The Goods.
Wammy described his book as ‘a positive story of the life that I have pursued, revelling a trip down a sometimes lonely yet happy escapade in life’s adventure.’ The book outlines his love of music, the town of Great Harwood and its people.
David, who lived on Birtwistle Street, publicly thanked residents in 1995 when they gave him a standing ovation following his first performance since a life-threatening accident on the Isle of Man.
A motorbike crash left him with broken bones in his legs, hips and back, as well as a broken collar bone and arm after a car pulled out in front of him.
The veteran showman spent months in a wheelchair and took six months to recover.
