Accrington motor sports club to hold Autotest event

A MOTOR sports club are holding a car autotest day at the end of the month.
Entries are still open for the Under 17 Motor Club North West Clubmans Production Car Autotest.
The event, organised by the Accrington-based club, is to take place at Blackburn Services. On the day participants can take part in a series of tests to measure precision driving skill.
Autotest events are held regularly by the club in which competitors navigate around a series of cones.
Drivers as young as 14 are allowed to participate as part of a road safety campaign, giving experience to teenagers to encourage them to learn how to handle cars away from the public roads before they turn 17.
The event at M65 Motorway Services, Junction 4, Blackburn, will be held under the General Regulations of The Motor Sports Association Ltd.
Anyone who is not a member of an associated club may apply for membership of The Under 17 Motor Club North West on the day, giving membership until 31 December 2013.
