3:04pm Thursday 8th August 2013 in News
RESIDENTS in Brennand Street, Burnley, were given an exclusive tour of one of its newly refurbished properties today thanks to local councillors.
Number 65 Brennand Street has recently been refurbished by Burnley Council, as part of the empty homes cluster programme.
Burnley Council leader Julie Cooper and executive member for housing and environment Coun Howard Baker showed residents round the property and listened to their thoughts on the programme.
Coun Cooper said: “It’s great to be able to share the fantastic work we’ve been doing on bringing empty homes back into use, with the people it affects the most.
“We wanted to show residents what a difference this programme is making in their neighbourhoods.”
The clusters programme is focusing on Duke Bar, Gannow and Trinity wards.
