Book of Hyndburn walks to be reprinted due to demand
2:26pm Thursday 8th August 2013 in News
A BOOK containing some of Hyndburn’s best walks has been reprinted due to popular demand.
‘Walking the paths of Great Harwood’ was published by the town’s Civic Society and funded by Lancashire County Council Healthy Streets.
Great Harwood Civic Society chairman, Lynn Wilson, said: “These walks are always popular.
“And we constantly run out of copies of the booklet so we were pleased when funding became available.
“They aren’t just used by local people but by Ramblers from Lancashire, Cheshire and Yorkshire.
“All the walks are graded and there is a lot of the history of Great Harwood contained in the ‘Points of Interest’ at the end of each walking route.”
The booklets will be available at the Civic Society Charity Market on Saturday, August 17.
And after that from Great Harwood Library, Pam’s Bookend, Great Harwood Civic Society and the Panel.
