THE BBC’s ‘Songs of Praise’ is to record two special editions of the programme at Blackburn Cathedral next month.
The cameras will be focused on worshippers on May 19, and May 20. The events are free, but everyone seeking to attend must have a ticket.
Dean of Blackburn Christopher Armstrong said: “We are delighted to welcome the Songs of Praise team to the cathedral for these special recordings.
“The people of Blackburn and Lancashire will be sure to give them a warm welcome and will make the events memorable.”
Individuals can attend the events, or whole choirs are also able to take part as well.
Applications for tickets can be made via email: songsofpraise@ bbc.co.uk or by post: Songs of Praise, (Blackburn Tickets), 1st Floor, Dock House, MediaCityUK, Salford M50 2LH.
Applications must include Full name, postal address, telephone number, email address (if applicable), number of tickets, and the date of recording you would like to attend, and whether for the congregation, or for a choir.
