Jewellery thieves targeting Asian households in Blackburn strike again

DETECTIVES investigating a spate of burglaries in the Asian community said thieves had struck again.

Blackburn’s target team are investigating five burglaries where thieves have stolen large quantities of Asian gold in the Pleckgate area of the town.

On Saturday, officers said thieves targeted a house in Burnley Road, Blackburn, shortly after 6.30pm.

They managed to get away with £600 worth of jewellery, taking the total value of their haul to more than £17,000.

DS Eric Halford, who is leading the investigation, said: “I urge anyone who has spotted anything suspicious to come forward and contact police.

“We believe the gang maybe travelling in a vehicle.

“Anyone who sees people hanging around should note down registration numbers and call police on 101.”

"We believe the gang maybe travelling in a vehicle".... That really does narrow it down.
