Pervert exposes himself to schoolgirl in Accrington

WITNESSES are being sought after a man indecently exposed himself to a 15-year-old girl in Accrington.
The teenager was walking home when the man pulled up in a silver hatchback vehicle at the junction of Annie Street and Foster Street, police said.
He asked the girl for directions, before unzipping his trousers and exposing himself.
The girl then ran home and raised the alarm.
Detective Sergeant Julie Cross said: “This was a very unpleasant experience for the young girl, who has been left shaken by what’s happened: we need to find the person responsible.
“We are appealing for anybody who may have seen a suspicious man or vehicle in the area at the relevant time to contact police.
“Even the smallest amount of information, which may seem insignificant, could help.”
The man is described as white, aged around 40 or 50 years old with grey hair and was said to be smartly dressed.
Police said they are not linking the incident with an indecent assault on a 14-year-old in Sabden at the beginning of February or to a recent indecent exposure in Padiham.
