Man accused of grooming Clitheroe teenager

A 28-YEAR-OLD man appeared before magistrates charged with the sexual grooming of a 14-year-old girl from Clitheroe.
Grant Lealand is alleged to have contacted the teenager via the internet before travelling from his home in Spain to meet up with her at a hotel in Clitheroe.
Lealand, who gave an address in St Cuthbert’s Road, Prestwich, appeared at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Lealand is also charged with engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with the girl.
Lealand was sent in custody to Preston Crown Court for the case to be heard.
