East Lancashire MEP calls for free school meals for pupils in poverty

EAST Lancashire Euro MP Paul Nuttall is calling for free school meals for all pupils living in poverty.

He is backing a petition to the Prime Minister urging the government to extend the help to all children who need it across the county.

UKIP MEP for the North West Mr Nuttall said: “The estimated number of children living in poverty in England missing out on free school meals is a staggering 1.2 million. Campaigners handed over a petition yesterday to David Cameron asking for these free meals to be extended to all children living in poverty.

“It is argued that the introduction of the new benefits system means that the government could easily permit this. The number of food banks in Britain has doubled in the past year, indicative of problems facing families.”

Sorry Mr Nuttall but you're the victim of a scam.
'Poverty' is measured by median average wage, meaning there will always be poverty on paper, regardless of how well off the nation may be.

These so called campaigners are just fake charities. They need to keep the illusion of poverty alive through the median average wage scam, in order to keep their gravy train running.

Real poverty is lack of access to clean water and medical care; the inability to feed and clothe yourself.
It doesn't mean living on benefits, it doesn't mean only one television per household and it certainly doesn't mean too lazy to cook for your kids.

To be honest I'm surprised to hear this from a UKIP MEP. I support you guys and I expect better.
