East Lancashire schools keep up the good work
1:28pm Monday 4th February 2013 in News
FIVE primary schools in East Lancashire have been told that they are performing well and will not be inspected again until summer 2014.
Barden Primary School, in Barden Lane, and Burnley Brunshaw Primary School, in Morse Street, Burnley, Longshaw Infant School, in Crosby Road, Blackburn, Sharneyford Primary School, in Todmorden Road, Bacup, and St Mary's Rawtenstall Church of England Primary School, in Haslingden Old Road, Rawtenstall, were all rated ‘good’ during their last Ofsted inspection.
And now during an interim assessment, Ofsted inspectors have revisited the schools to ensure that the standards are being maintained.
As part of the assessment, inspectors look at pupils’ attainment, progress, attendance, and other issues that are brought to the independent body’s attention.
The letter said that the next full inspection has been deferred until at least summer term 2014, unless Ofsted has concerns about their performance in the meantime.
