Haslingden man on sex charges

A pensioner appeared before Burnley magistrates, accused of three sex offences.
Brian Walmsley, 71, of Helmshore Road, Haslingden, is charged with assault by penetration and two counts of sexual assault on a female, said to have taken place last September.
His case will be heard at the crown court and he was bailed until a hearing there on February 18.
