Demolition approved for former Burnley school

A FORMER junior school in Burnley is set to be torn down so it does not present a ‘blight’ to its new neighbours.

Borough council development partners Keepmoat are currently building hundreds of new homes behind Accrington Road.

But council chiefs have approved a decision to buy up the former Hargher Clough Junior School, in Venice Street, for demolition.

Hargher Clough was closed down in August 2002.

Feels like a shame to be knocking down just a nice old building?

did someone say the Council gave permission to Keepmoat?
SURPRISE SURPRISE!
I wonder who will be getting a new Audi at the Council then?

Even in the state it is now it would still be standing when those cardboard boxes have fallen apart.

I wonder if the likes of Mike Cook & Kate Ingram would live in one of them? I doubt it.

woodtop school is in a lot worse condition with its roof fell in and is more of an eyesore and harger clough has not long has nearly a million pound spent on it. it seems more dodgy dealings are going on in the private housing deals in Burnley.
