Burglars break-in Darwen Golf Club

CASH and cheques were stolen during a break-in at Darwen Golf Club.


Police said two men approached the club in Duddon Avenue and forced open a locked door into the cellar.

However, they were unable to gain entry through the cellar into the club, so they prized open a window.


The burglars got away with their haul leaving the damaged window behind.


The incident happened between 4.30pm on Monday and 5am Tuesday.


Police said they were examining CCTV footage.Anyone with information should call police on 101.

Two completely different words.

No wonder sales of the paper are plunging as fast as the grammatical skills of the "journalists" who work here.

I notice that the LT have omitted the name of the reporter. If the incident was not so serious it would be funny - what do they mean "they left the window behind" ? If Eric Sykes was still alive I would think that he wrote this item!!
Hilarious, but not funny if you know what I mean.......
