Family fun day for those touched by meningitis
10:53am Thursday 24th January 2013 in News
THE Meningitis Trust is inviting families from East Lancashire to its family day at Martin Mere Wetland Centre.
The day is for children and their families who have experienced meningitis (whether directly, or indirectly) to have a fun day of activities, and creative workshops.
The day also gives affected families the chance to find out more about the support available to them through the trust.
Those attending on Sunday, March 3 can choose to join in the activities with the children, or spend time with other parents, or the charity’s staff.
Chris Hughes, support officer for the Meningitis Trust in Lancashire, said: “Meningitis changes lives and futures, which is why bringing together families with similar experiences of the disease is so important.”
The day is free to attend, and refreshments and lunch are provided. To register to attend, contact Chris Hughes on 0845 120 4764, or email email@example.com
