Darwen man in court over masked knife robbery

A 25-YEAR-OLD man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with a Halloween mask, attempted knifepoint robbery at Sainsbury in Darwen on January 7.
Christopher John Murray, formerly of Melita Street, Darwen, but now of no fixed address, is charged with attempting to rob Suzanne Young of a £20,000 Mini Cooper and possession of a black handled knife.
He was sent in custody to Preston Crown Court.
