Burnley man was found hiding in car showroom
3:13pm Tuesday 15th January 2013 in News
A MAN depressed and hard-up at Christmas raided a car showroom looking for copper wiring in the early hours of Boxing Day, a court heard.
Jason Derek Hardacre, 40, of Bread Street, Burnley, was found hiding in Lookers, in Barracks Road, Burnley, armed with a torch, two screwdrivers and secateurs, the town’s crown court was told.
Hardacre, a former drug user, was said to have no family living locally, and his benefits had been cut.
He admitted burglary with intent to steal, and was sentenced to a community order, with unpaid work.
