AN Oswaldtwistle High School has two positions available for parent governors.
The voluntary role gives parents the opportunity to contribute to the running and development of the Haworth Street school.
Parents contribute their own experiences to the governing body. An understanding of educational issues is not required, and will be acquired through involvement and participation.
A commitment to attend two meetings a term is necessary although other opportunities are available if you have more time.
Optional training is provided in conjunction with the County Council and in school.
