Blackburn office suppliers win £100k contract

EAST Lancashire firm Premier Office Supplies has won a second successive contract to supply office furniture to Blackburn with Darwen Council.
The 20-year-old company, of Blakewater Road, Blackburn, secured a new two-year contract, worth up to £100,000 in total.
Premier succeeded in a competitive tendering process against local, and national, organisations to supply office furniture.
Coun Dave Harling, executive member for regeneration, said: “This builds on the success of the previous four years, and we look forward to continuing our working relationship.”
Gordon Wilson, managing director of Premier Office Supplies, said: “Winning the contract will assist us in securing both longer-term employment for existing staff, and the opportunity to recruit additional staff from within the local area.”
