A BAR manager was assaulted by a drunken customer after refusing to serve him alcohol.
The 19-year-old girl was struck in the face by the man, at The Commercial pub, in Church Street, Accrington, after walking over to him to explain why he was being refused service, and being asked to leave.
Before she could finish, he reached out and slapped her face twice.
The incident was caught on the pub’s CCTV cameras, which officers were able to use to produce a picture of the attacker.
Police are now appealing to anyone who may recognise the man to come forward and help them catch him.
PC Craig Kelshaw, said: “This was a nasty, and completely unnecessary, assault, and I am keen to speak to anyone who can help us trace the person responsible.”
The inicdent took place shortly after 9.30pm, on Boxing Day.
Anyone with any information should call Lancashire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
