TWO employees had to be decontaminated after a chemical leak at a dry cleaning company in Whalley.
The Environment Agency, Fire and Ambulance service were called to the scene at The Sidings after reports of 30-40 litres of corrosive liquid had been spilt.
They were called at 11.30am today (Tuesday) after reports that 40 litres of a chemical called perchlorethylene, which is a chemical used in dry cleaning machines, has spilt out of an industrial unit in a commercial premises at The Sidings, Whalley.
When the fire fighters got there they found a female splashed with the chemical and they were being assessed by paramedics at the time.
Another employee was also in contact but both refused hospital treatment.
