DETECTIVES in Blackburn are investigating an early morning arson attack on a parked car.
The incident involves a 57 reg silver Ford Focus parked in Leamington Road, Blackburn overnight on Friday.
Police said someone set four fires on the ground close to each of the vehicles wheels shortly after 2.15am on Saturday.
The vehicle was severely damaged in the attack.
Detectives said forensic inquiries were still ongoing to establish further details about the origin of the fire and the person who started it.
DI Paul Langley, of Blackburn CID, is leading the investigation.
He said: “I appeal to anyone who happened to be in the Leamington Road area of Blackburn in the early hours of Saturday and who saw anything suspicious to come forward.
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw two hooded males running away from the scene.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
