A 57-YEAR-OLD man found with pornographic images on his computer and CDs at his home told police he considered girls of 14 years of age to be approaching adulthood.
Blackburn Magistrates’ Court heard David Michael Forshaw was unrepentant, telling police he considered once a girl had breasts, there was “nothing wrong” with it.
Forshaw, of Peronne Crescent, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to possessing indecent moving images, making indecent moving images, and distributing indecent moving images.
He was sent on bail to Preston Crown Court to be sentenced after the magistrates ruled their powers of sentence were not adequate.
A condition of bail is that he does not associate with anyone under the age of 16.
Neil White, prosecuting, said police discovered a number of images, both on the defendant’s computer, and on CDs.
“It appears he labelled some images CP, standing for child porn, and others AP, standing for adult porn, said Mr White.
“Despite the differentiation, he says that once a girl acquires breasts and pubic hair, he no longer considers them to be a child.
“He says girls of 14 are approaching adulthood and he doesn’t see anything wrong with them wanting to have sex with an older man.”
Mr White said Forshaw admitted to police that he was aware the images were illegal, and accepted distributing them.
“He was totally unrepentant and you may consider your powers are insufficient and you should send this case to the crown court,” said Mr White.
Aftab Bakhat, defending Forshaw, said his client accepted the matters would be dealt with at the crown court.
