THE top 10 most wanted fugitives in East Lancashire have been revealed.

They include a convicted armed robber, a man accused of committing a sex act in a park and a suspected benefit fraudster.

Police warned the suspects, who are either wanted on prison recall or who have skipped bail, they will not stop until they are caught.

Top of the police list is Thomas Francis McDonagh.

He is accused of taking part in a number of sneak-in burglaries in Blackburn, Blackpool and Preston, where car keys were taken from a house and then cars stolen.

The 33-year-old, originally from Wyre, was sentenced to two consecutive 10 year sentences in 2003 for robbery but had recently been released on licence.

Following suspicions of further offences this licence has now been revoked.

Anyone who spots McDonagh is urged to contact police immediately and not to approach him.

Another fugitive is Mehrez Mansouri, who went on the run in July after he appeared in court charged with outraging public decency. He is accused of committing a sex act in Towneley Park on July 5. His last known address was Todmorden Road, Burnley.

Richard Roy Brown, from Accrington, is being sought by the courts after being charged with drink driving in Queens Road West, Church.

The 24-year-old failed to appear before magistrates when a summons was issued.

A warrant has also been issued for Mohammed Afridi Khan, who was last known to be living in Randal Street, Blackburn.

A judge at Preston Crown court issued the warrant after Khan failed to answer a charge of possessing false idenity papers in a bid to claim benefits.

The search is also on for Thomas Henry Coupe who is thought to be living in Blackburn or Accrington.

A warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to appear at Burnley Magistrates' Court to answer a charge of criminal damage to a house in Oswaldtwistle.

Police are also searching for Anthony Partington, 46, who was last known to live in Manxman Road, Blackburn.

A warrant for his arrest has been issued by Preston Crown Court following an allegation of criminal damage which breaches a suspended sentence order following a burglary in Blackburn in 2010.

Sergey Naumov, 48, who is thought to be living in Blackburn is also being sought in connection with the theft of alcohol from Blackburn Asda.

A judge has also issued a warant for the arrest of Brendan Smalley, who is believed to be living in Blackburn.

The 24-year-old was charged with causing grievious bodily harm with intent and assault by beating on two separate people in March last year.

Robert Metcalf is wanted for breaching a court order in relation an offence of burglary in March 2011.

A warrant has been issued by Burnley Crown Court for 21-year-old thought to be living in Nelson.

Valentas Reifonas, 24, who is thought to be living in Nelson is wanted by Burnley Magistrates Court for going equipped for theft in Church Street, Burnley.

DI Mark Winstanley, from Blackburn CID said, “As a force, we arrest a significant number of people who are either wanted on warrant or wanted on prison recall.

"However, a small number of people will do all that they can to evade capture by the police and go to ground. This is where we need the public to assist us in trying to locate those who are outstanding.

“If anyone recognises any of these people then I would ask them to come forward and contact us. They are all wanted for either an offence or for breaking the conditions of their licence, therefore they are at large.

"We want to spoil Christmas for criminals therefore any sightings of any of these people should be reported to the police.

“I would also appeal direct to those people who are wanted. You should come forward and hand yourself in. We will never give up in trying to find you and the sensible thing for you to do is make contact with us immediately.”
