Festive songs are just the tonic for patients at Waterfoot Health Centre
6:30pm Monday 24th December 2012 in News
PATIENTS at Waterfoot Health Centre were treated to a festive singalong by Rawtenstall schoolchildren.
A choir of Year 11 to Year 13 students from Alder Grange School and Sixth Form spent an hour performing traditional carols.
They included Away In A Manger, Frosty The Snowman, Hark The Herald and O’ Holy Night John Doherty, strategic director at the health centre said: “The carol singing really brightened up our waiting room, it was a boost for our staff as well as our patients.
“I want to say a very big thank you to the pupils and the school for bringing some much needed Christmas cheer.”
One of the singers, 15-year-old Sophie Wooding, added: “We really enjoyed singing to the patients. We always try to sing the carols with different arrangements to bring them up-to-date.
“I think everyone in the waiting room liked them.”
