Flooding causing traffic chaos in Rawtenstall

FLOODING at Rawtenstall’s St Mary’s roundabout is causing traffic chaos.
Drivers face long delays as the queues of traffic slowly pass around the flooded road, between Rawtenstall Fire Station, East Lancashire Railway and Tesco.
A spokesman from the station said: “There is quite severe flooding outside the station. It’s possible the drainage system has been fractured.”
United Utilities and Lancashire County Council highways staff are on site trying to resolve the problem.

Rubbish. The only problem was useless idiots who found it impossible to drive through 4" of water without panicking. They should be made to stay at home during rain

True. It's a badly arranged road system there anyway.
