FIRE crews were called to a Great Harwood firm after reports that it was on fire.
At 11.30pm last night (Thursday), fire fighters attended Stanley Brothers Tippers, in Station Road, Great Harwood, after reports of a fire.
Crew manager Rob Birtwistle said: “They had been burning off rubbish during the day and left the fire smouldering overnight.
“Someone spotted it, thinking that the yard was on fire, but it wasn’t.”
Engines from Great Harwood and Accrington attended the scene and spent around 15 minutes extinguishing the embers.
