Blackburn council leader objects to car sales lot

BLACKBURN with Darwen council leader Kate Hollern and her Wensley Fold ward Labour colleague Mohammed Khan have objected to a backdated planning application for a car sales lot.

Aman Ullah Qamar is seeking retrospective permission to use the site in Wensley Road for his Wensley Motors business. Officials have recommended the borough planning committee to approve the application despite the objections.

Couns Hollern and Khan are worried about traffic on the narrow road, parking, obstruction of a bus route and disturbance to residents.
