A 47-YEAR-OLD man will face trial early next year accused of possessing 332 indecent pictures of children and other extreme porn offences.

Robert Tyson McGregor, of the Isaac Centre, Harrogate Crescent, Burnley, is charged with 10 counts of making an indecent photo of a child and two counts of possessing an extreme pornographic image.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between February 2010 and July 2011 in Bacup.

Contained within the 10 charges of possessing indecent images of children, there are allegations that McGregor had nine images at level five, 58 at level four, 26 at level three, 18 at level two and 221 at level one.

Level five is classified as the most extreme under current legislation.

During an appearance at Burnley Magistrates’ Court, McGregor elected for trial by jury which is scheduled at Burnley Crown Court for Friday, January 4.

He was bailed on condition he lives at the Isaac Centre and does not have unsupervised contact with any child.
