TIME is running out to buy souvenir Olympic gold medal stamps from the Royal Mail.

Stamps for every TeamGB and ParalympicsGB gold medallist during the London 2012 Games have been produced.

Colne’s Steven Burke was featured on a stamp for winning gold with team GB’s cycling team. The stamps can still be bought online as a Christmas gift but will be withdrawn from sale on December 31.

In total, 63 different stamps were issued to recognise the success of Team GB and ParalympicsGB athletes.

Andrew Hammond, Royal Mail’s managing director of stamps and collectibles, said that time was running out for those who had not bought the stamps and wanted to.

He said: “We think there are a lot of people who have bought some and now want the full set. They’ve only got until December 31 to complete their collection.”
