INFORMATION is being sought about a Blackburn man wanted on prison recall.

Bernard Rawstron, 38, was originally jailed for vehicle crime and drugs offences at Preston Crown Court in October 2011.

However, he was released early from HMP Liverpool on July 25 on licence but it is believed he has since breached the terms of that release licence.

The authorities are now recalling his licence, meaning he will be sent back to prison.

Police are asking the public to be vigilant and to contact them with any sightings of him.

Officers said anyone with information regardless of how trivial its seems should come forward as it could help track him down.

Rawstron is described as being a slim build with green eyes and short light brown hair.

He has previously lived in Blackburn and is known to still have aquaintances in the town.

Sgt Eugene Swift said: “We would ask the public to be vigilant and report any sightings to the police. Any details no matter how small could be crucial.

“As a force we have a high success rate of returning people to prison and will use all methods to catch people and to return them to serve the remainder of their sentence.

“I urge anyone with information to call police.”

Anyone with who spots Rawstron should call police on 101.
