A MOTORIST who went for a late night Big Mac ended up giving a lamp-post a big smack as he skidded on ice at the Clitheroe drive through.
Blackburn magistrates heard Thomas Gibson failed a breathalyser after police were called to the scene.
Gibson, 20, of Pendle Drive, Whalley, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol.
He was fined £110 with £105 costs and banned from driving for 12 months. Miss Michelle Stewart, defending, said Gibson had been to a party and had three or four drinks.
“He drove three or four hours after he had consumed the alcohol and thought he’d be ok to drive,” she said.
