Appeal for Darwen cyber cafe volunteers

THE Friends of Darwen Library are on the lookout for IT digital champions to volunteer at the successful cyber cafe held at Darwen Aldridge Community Academy each Tuesday, from 10am to 2pm.
The champions help and support local residents to access the internet, do research, search for jobs and provide one-to-one support for first-time IT users.
Group chairman John East said: “We are now hosting many local residents’ job searching and last week we were at full stretch. “We have even supported adults whose second language is English with online learning.”
